Privacy policy

This page explains what personal details Homak Design & Development ("Homak", "we") collects through homak.dev, our enquiry form and our client portal, and what we do with them. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Homak Design & Development is a web design and development studio at 4174 Pegasus Way, Naples, FL 34120. For anything about this policy or your details, email hello@homak.dev.

The enquiry form

When you send the "Start a project" form we receive your name, your email address, and, if you give them, your phone number and a description of your project. The form is sent to us as an email through Amazon Web Services and lands in our inbox; it is not saved to a database. We use it only to reply to your enquiry. We don't sell or share it, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

To stop the form being flooded, we briefly keep a count of submissions for each IP address. The count expires after ten minutes and is deleted automatically soon after.

Email to hello@homak.dev

Mail sent to hello@homak.dev is received by Amazon Web Services, which keeps a copy for 30 days (so a message can be recovered if delivery fails) and forwards it to our inbox, hosted by Google. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to work with you.

Analytics and cookies

This website has no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising, and it sets no cookies. Its fonts and videos are served from our own domain, not from third parties.

The client portal

The client portal is for existing clients only, by invitation. For each client it holds your name, email address and company, your sign-in account, and a record of account activity, such as sign-ins, password changes, and invoice and plan actions, which we keep for security and billing records.

The portal sets two cookies, both needed to sign you in: one keeps you signed in (for up to seven days) and one lasts ten minutes while you finish signing in. Neither is used for tracking. As on the enquiry form, we briefly count sign-in attempts per IP address to slow down password guessing.

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter card and bank details into Stripe's own form, and they go to Stripe, not to our servers. On the portal's payment pages, and on Stripe's billing page linked from our contact section, Stripe may set its own cookies to prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Email we send

We email you to reply to an enquiry, and, if you are a client, to send portal invitations and password reset codes (through Amazon Web Services) and invoices (through Stripe). We don't send marketing email. To ask us to stop emailing you, write to hello@homak.dev.

Who else handles your details

• Amazon Web Services hosts this website and the client portal, and sends and receives our email.
• Stripe processes payments and sends invoices.
• Google hosts our inbox. Stripe's payment form also loads its typeface from Google Fonts.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal details we hold about you by emailing hello@homak.dev. We'll answer within 30 days. We may have to keep billing records for tax purposes even after a client account is closed.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
